CANASTA AND DON ZOILO AMONTILLADO ACCOMPANY THE CREW ON THEIR VOYAGE AROUND THE WORLD.
Bodegas Williams & Humbert has collaborated with the Spanish Navy on the 12th round-the-world voyage of the training ship Juan Sebastián Elcano, in the year marking the 500th anniversary of the first circumnavigation of the globe.
More than 900 bottles of a special edition of Canasta and Don Zoilo Amontillado sherries set sail aboard the ship on 24 August from the Arsenal de la Carraca in San Fernando. The bottles accompany the crew on their voyage and will delight the distinguished guests received at the various ports of call along their circumnavigation of the earth.
In this way, the century-old winery pays its own tribute to our armed forces and raises a glass to the feat of those men who risked their lives to broaden Spain’s horizons.
