This Williams vintage was one of the wines chosen for the pairing presented at Madrid Fusión by sommelier Juan Ruiz Henestrosa
Juan Ruiz is known as a true wine genius. National Gastronomy Award winner in 2016 and Best Sommelier of the Year in 2015, after a successful career as restaurant manager at Aponiente, this native of Rota decided in 2020 to open the business of his dreams: the burger restaurant “Little John” in the centre of his home town.
Juan Ruiz says that Little John doesn’t smell like a burger joint, “but of my mother’s fried tomato, my grandmother’s pisto and the fresh vegetables from Conil”. That is how he has turned the concept “from fast food to fast good”. And with this philosophy and his commitment to quality produce, his claim that “enjoying a good wine in a burger restaurant is possible” could not be more true.
