Canasta 20 is an exclusive wine, as few exist on the market with the same style and level of ageing. A sweet oloroso, or cream, aged for 20 years (VOS) through the Criaderas y Soleras System. It is also a wine bottled en rama.

Wine type: Sweet Oloroso, or “cream” in Anglo-Saxon terms. Fortified wine from the D.O. Jerez – Xérès – Sherry. Oxidative ageing under the dynamic Criaderas y Soleras system.
Winemaking: Made from second-press musts, Canasta 20 is a blend of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez with physico-chemical ageing by oxidation, through the Criaderas y Soleras system, in 500-litre American oak casks.
Ageing: Minimum average of 20 years
Grape variety: Palomino and Pedro Ximénez
Vineyards: Pago Añina and Carrascal. Jerez Superior area
Alcohol content: 20% Alc. /Vol.
Profile: Sweet, 130 g sugar/litre
TASTING NOTE: Dark mahogany colour, with bright coppery highlights. Very intense aroma, characteristically of tobacco, spices, toasted sugar, dried apricots, prunes, figs, walnuts, with faint notes of vanilla. Sweet, elegant, with high acidity due to concentration, fresh, velvety and with great balance on the palate. Very persistent, complex, pleasant and generous retronasal finish. A tremendously expressive and elegant wine.
PAIR IT: An ideal wine to enjoy on its own after a meal, as an aperitif, with nuts, or as a cocktail, served over ice with a slice of orange. It pairs very well with blue cheeses, creamy cheeses and foie gras. It is also an excellent dessert wine, to accompany fruits such as melon and orange, pastries or ice creams.
Serve it: Between 12°C and 14°C
