Renowned sommelier Josep Roca has been named a corresponding member of the Real Academia de San Dionisio of Sciences, Arts and Letters. “Jerez. Cooking, drinking, loving” was the title of the El Celler de Can Roca sommelier’s inaugural address, which was introduced by full member Jesús Medina García de Polavieja, CEO and Managing Director of Bodegas Williams & Humbert. The ceremony was chaired by Juan Salido Freyre, President of the Academia de San Dionisio, and attended by the Mayor of Jerez, María José García Pelayo.
