The Island Rum Company works to preserve the culture, nature and traditions of the island of Cuba, bringing its prized rums to a wider audience. Based in Oslo and founded in 2012, it produces two of the most outstanding Cuban rums on the market: the super-premium rum “La Progresiva” and “Black Tears”, Cuba’s first spiced rum, recently named among the Top Ten trending rums in a survey of the World’s 50 Best Bars.
The CEO of this important company visited Williams & Humbert, the winery that distributes these two prestigious Cuban rums in Spain. Adele Robberstad, who has an extensive career in the spirits industry, was accompanied during her visit by Alfonso Roldán, International Area Director at Bodegas Williams & Humbert.
