Williams & Humbert welcomed the Consul of Spain in the Philippines, Fernando Heredia, with whom the Jerez winery maintains a close relationship.
Williams & Humbert’s Managing Director, Jesús Medina García de Polavieja, and the winery’s International Sales Director, Alfonso Roldán Piñero, hosted the visit, explaining to the Consul and his party how the wines of the Jerez region are made and showing them the winery’s facilities and its century-old history. The Consul tasted a wide range of sherries, as well as the Gran Duque de Alba and Alfonso brandy ranges, showing particular interest in a spirit that is a best-seller in the Philippines.
Fernando Heredia also left a memento of his visit by signing one of the winery’s casks.
