“Vintages in the world’s great wine regions. Jerez Urbi et Orbi”

Juancho Asenjo speaking into a microphone

by Juancho Asenjo, wine communicator and humanist.

The importance of vintage varies greatly from one wine region to another, depending on wine types, styles and concepts. What do great vintages mean in the world’s main regions? Should vintages be valued for their age or their quality? What is “en primeur” selling in Bordeaux? Why do some vintages cost more and are more sought after than others? Juancho Asenjo answered all these questions in his lecture as part of the series organised by Williams & Humbert, a winery that also holds an important historic collection of vintage sherries.
