VINTAGE FINOS 2017, PAGO DE CARRASCAL AND PAGO DE AÑINA
These new Finos, released in 2022, are the result of the single-vineyard winemaking project launched by Williams & Humbert in 2017, which makes it possible to understand the characteristics and typicity of each pago in greater depth.
FINO EN RAMA VINTAGE 2017, PAGO DE CARRASCAL

For this Fino, Palomino grapes from the Pago de Carrascal were selected. The free-run must ferments at controlled temperature. After racking off the lees and fortification to 15.5%, it begins 5 years of static biological ageing in old American oak casks.
Gold in colour and very aromatically complex, it is a wine with pronounced aromas from biological ageing and notes of milky almond; very rich and full. Delicate, rounded and silky.
From a set of 17 casks, a special saca was made from a selection of casks No. 14 and No. 17, which show the exceptional finesse, structure, volume and minerality typical of the Pago de Carrascal.
FINO EN RAMA VINTAGE 2017, PAGO DE AÑINA

For this Fino, Palomino grapes from the Pago de Añina were selected. The free-run must ferments at controlled temperature. After racking off the lees and fortification to 15.5%, it begins 5 years of static biological ageing in old American oak casks.
Gold in colour and very aromatically complex, with bitter notes from biological ageing, the Vintage Fino 2017 is full, very long and expressive. Silky, unctuous and very persistent.
From a set of 14 casks, a special bottling was made from a single cask, No. 14, which shows the exceptional finesse, verticality and minerality of the Pago de Añina.
From the July 2022 saca, production is limited: 500 50 cl bottles of each of these Finos.
