Pilar Cavero, Best Sommelier in Spain 2013 and wine critic at ABC
The Real Academia de San Dionisio’s Wine Cycle was held in collaboration with Bodegas Williams & Humbert in 2024, the year both institutions celebrated the tenth anniversary of their respective wine lecture series
Bodegas Williams & Humbert hosted one of the Wine Cycle lectures: “Sherry beyond its borders. Flor around the world and the second life of casks”, given by Pilar Cavero, Best Sommelier in Spain in 2013 and wine critic at ABC. Pilar Cavero is also a judge at the IWC, a member of the Madrid Fusión The Wine Edition board and of Decanter’s Spanish team. She holds the Official Sommelier Certificate from the Barcelona Hospitality School and has worked on the floor team at El Celler de Can Roca.
The President of the Real Academia de San Dionisio, Juan Salido, and the CEO and Managing Director of Bodegas Williams & Humbert, Jesús Medina, opened and introduced the lecture.
