The perfect choice to elevate your cocktails
For 10 days, Madrid’s most iconic bars come together to offer their most appealing cocktails, with Brandy de Jerez as the star. At this second Brandy de Jerez Cocktail Week, Gran Duque de Alba featured in many of these innovative cocktails – here is a selection of some of the most interesting.
Brandy y Lucas

‘Brandy y Lucas’, whose name is a nod to the 1990s Cádiz flamenco-pop duo Andy y Lucas, combines Gran Duque de Alba Solera Gran Reserva Brandy with spiced Port. But there’s a secret ingredient… bacon! A cocktail full of umami flavours, created by the team at Santos y Desamparados.

Tomatito de Jerez

A special recipe that takes you to a Jerez tabanco, in which Gran Duque de Alba Solera Gran Reserva Brandy is joined by vodka, tomato juice, hot sauce – in this case ‘Salsa Tuerta’ – and lemon. A creation by La Huerta Funky Castizo.

Muerte Roja

Gran Duque de Alba Solera Gran Reserva with white rum, raspberry, blood orange and passion fruit cream is the cocktail created by El Edén de Huertas.

The Duke

Gran Duque de Alba Solera Gran Reserva is the heart of this cocktail, with thyme and lemon for a refreshing touch, dry Oloroso for nutty depth, Fino for balance, a saline solution that lifts all the flavours and orange bitters for the perfect finish. An excellent creation by Baton Rouge.
