A perfect pairing of culture, gastronomy and Williams & Humbert Sherry wines
Club Matador is a meeting place where professionals from different backgrounds and training enjoy an extraordinary space. Located in the Salamanca district, at 5 Jorge Juan Street, it has become a gathering point where culture and ideas are the pillars of this project and where gastronomy plays a prominent role.
The Club features spaces such as the restaurant, with cuisine that combines tradition and innovation and where special attention is paid to raw materials. Cocktails are also a hallmark of Club Matador and its bar offers classic cocktails and signature creations. El Clandestino is the Club’s speakeasy, serving the finest cocktails alongside an extensive gastronomic offering: innovative cocktails in a meeting place that hosts experiences, workshops, pairing dinners and cooking demonstrations. In addition to the private room and the main bar, Club Matador has a wine cellar where Telmo Rodríguez has created a wine collection far from conventional offerings. And of course, the Sherry Bar, a clear expression of the spirit of partners who have shaped a unique and distinctive Club. This bar dedicated to sherry features some 200 references including finos, manzanillas, amontillados, olorosos and palos cortados, and a cocktail menu in which these wines are the main ingredient. Among these references are Williams & Humbert wines.
Our winery was also invited to conduct a tasting in which oenologist Juan José Mesa presented to the members of this emblematic Club some of Williams & Humbert’s sherries, such as Fino Pando, Fino Don Zoilo, Amontillado 2010, Oloroso 2003 and VORS As You Like It, paired with excellent dishes from the cuisine of this singular space.
