Launched in 1999, Dry Sack 15 was the first sherry from the Jerez region to carry an age statement on its label
Wine type: Medium sweet Oloroso from the Jerez-Xérès-Sherry Designation of Origin.
Winemaking: Made from free-run must fermented at a controlled 22 °C, this Oloroso is the result of a carefully selected blend of Palomino and Pedro Ximénez that ages together in the traditional Criaderas y Soleras system, undergoing oxidative ageing for an average of at least 15 years. The result is this distinctive, distinctly medium sweet Oloroso.
Age: Minimum 15 years.
Grape varieties: Palomino and Pedro Ximénez.
Vineyards: Pago Añina and Carrascal. Jerez Superior area.
Alcohol: 20.5% ABV.
Sugar content: 100 g/l.
TASTING NOTE: Bright amber in colour, with an intense nose reminiscent of dried fruit, walnut, raisins and figs. Full and harmonious on the palate, low in acidity and quite sweet, with a persistent retronasal finish.
PAIR IT WITH: Blue cheeses, cured cheeses, foie gras, poultry and game birds such as duck or partridge, spiced dishes, red berries, citrus fruits and pastries.
Serve it: between 12 °C and 14 °C.
